Social media integration FAQ

Everything from the Social Media Integration Guide distilled into actionable answers so you can confidently connect every network.

Meta reminder

Postavel uses a two-level connection system: First, connect your social accounts at the Client level (OAuth). Then, each Brand selects which pages or accounts to use from the client's available connections. Facebook and Instagram are connected together - when you connect Facebook at the client level, Instagram accounts linked to your Facebook Pages become available for all brands.

Brand Page Integration - How It Works

After connecting social accounts at the client level, each brand needs to select which specific pages or accounts to use for publishing. This is done in Brand Settings → Social Accounts.

How to Access Brand Settings

  1. 1 Navigate to your dashboard and select the brand you want to configure
  2. 2 Go to Settings → Social Accounts (or Brand Settings → Social Accounts)
  3. 3 You'll see all available connections from the client level

What You Can Do in Brand Settings

Select Facebook Pages

Choose which Facebook Page this brand should publish to. If multiple Facebook accounts are connected at the client level, you can select a Page from any of them. Each brand can use a different Page.

Select Instagram Accounts

Choose which Instagram Business or Creator account this brand should use. Instagram accounts are automatically available when Facebook is connected. Each brand can select a different Instagram account.

Select LinkedIn Company Pages

Choose which LinkedIn Company Page this brand should publish to. If multiple LinkedIn accounts are connected, you can select a Company Page from any of them.

Select Pinterest Boards

Choose which Pinterest board this brand should pin to. All boards from your connected Pinterest account are available. Each brand can select a different board.

Select YouTube Channels

Choose which YouTube channel this brand should upload videos to. All channels from your connected Google account are available. Each brand can select a different channel.

Select Twitter/X, Bluesky, or TikTok Accounts

For platforms without pages (Twitter/X, Bluesky, TikTok), you simply enable the connection for this brand. The brand will use the account connected at the client level.

Important Notes

  • You must connect accounts at the client level first before brands can select them
  • Each brand can select different pages/accounts - they don't have to share
  • You can change the selected page/account at any time
  • If you disconnect a client-level connection, all brands using it will lose access
  • Multiple brands can use the same page/account if needed

Common Issues

I don't see any pages/accounts to select

Make sure you've connected the platform at the client level first. Go to Client Settings → Social Connections and connect the account. Then return to Brand Settings → Social Accounts.

The page I want isn't showing up

Verify that your client-level connection has access to that page. Check the page permissions in the original platform (Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.). Try refreshing the connection in Client Settings.

Can I select different pages for different brands?

Yes! That's the whole point of brand-level selection. Each brand can choose which pages or accounts to use independently.

What happens if I change the selected page?

The brand will immediately start using the new page for all future scheduled posts. Previously scheduled posts will still publish to the old page unless you reschedule them.
